New layout
Finished up a couple of layouts last night but I can only show you this one. The other one is for the Paint class coming up in January at Feeling Scrappy. This page is for a Book of Us challenge about cars/daily transportation (I also cut some scallops for Colleen's Member of the Month challenge. I used some Webster's Pages paper I won from A Million Memories, as well as a couple of goodies from Jayne at Feeling Scrappy (grungeboard key and ribbon), CI paper, Bazzill paper, Distress Ink, embossing powder, Thickers and Rusty Pickle letters. I think that's it. :)
Card challenge and a RAK
I've posted a new card challenge on the Feeling Scrappy message board. It's all about scallops this week. I hope you'll check out my sketch and sample. :)
And I feel like trying my hand at another video but I don't know what anyone would want to see me make. Sooo, leave me a comment with your suggestion and I'll send a scrappy goodie to the person whose idea I pick. It can be anything...a how to or a technique or?? What do you think?

A sketch and some fun FS stuff!
Jayne updated the Feeling Scrappy website with the first Member of the Month, Colleen!! I hope you'll check out her interview and fave layouts on the homepage. Also, Colleen posted a fun challenge on the site's message board. Congrats Colleen!!
Here's a sketch I made a couple of days ago. I had planned on using it and posting both the sketch and the layout but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Soooooo, I'm just posting the sketch anyway. I hope you like it. Let me know if you use it. :)

Paper bag album
Suzanne asked me if the paper bags albums were hard to make. They are SUPER easy so I thought I'd post some instructions. If you make one, be sure to share it with me or leave me a comment!
You will need-
Three paper bags (I used small white bags from the craft store)
Glue
Stapler
Various paper scraps, ribbon, other scrappy goodies
Directions-
1. Turn bags in opposite directions then stack.
2. Fold them in half and then staple (or sew) them in the middle.
3. Cut a strip of paper to cover the binding and glue it on.
4. Add paper scraps to cover and decorate each page.
5. Add more paper scraps with ribbon to slide into the paper bag openings.
6. Have fun decorating it!
*I used scraps from American Crafts paper, Primas, a rhinestone from Lynda, paint, Distress ink, ribbon and a Grungeboard element that Jayne (from Feeling Scrappy) sent to me (the grungeboard, ribbon and some of the paper were from Jayne-Thanks Jayne!!).

Scrappy video
So, I found this really cool blog- http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/videos.html where she posts fun little informational scrappy videos. I thought I'd give it a try since I really liked hers. But the only thing I could think of to record was me making a card for the card challenge I just posted at Feeling Scrappy.
The video is not very exciting. LOL If you can think of something better that you'd like me to demo, let me know. I know this is sort of choppy and long, but it was my first attempt. Don't laugh at me too much. Leave me a comment if you actually watch it. :)Here is the sketch I created that I used in this clip.

I loosely used a sketch from http://www.pagemaps.com/ for these.
Down at the county fair-
I used: Kaliedoscope, BG and bazzill papers. Rub on letters and QK Star font
I submitted this one for the weekly challenge at http://www.feelingscrappy.com/ (had to use primary colors!)
Miracle-
I used: I used: Tres Jolie paper and CM vellum, QK Zoe font (I think that's what it is), flowers (not sure what brand) and MME rhinestones. I cut the scallops myself.

Getting Sketchy Challenge
Here's my take on the sketch challenge posted at Getting Sketchy! I took some of the height and length off of the cardstock to make room for the stuff to hang off of the edges. I used MME Signature Life papers, Doodlebug letters, MME Tres Jolie buttons. CTMH ink, Primas., some brads and a clip. I forget the brand of the stamp I used.

Did this layout for a scraplift challenge on Feeling Scrappy. I picked this awesome layout from their gallery- http://www.freepowerboards.com/feelinscrappy/album_pic.php?pic_id=201 and here is my lift of it-
And here is another layout I finished-trying to catch up a little before the baby's here. :)

Feeling Scrappy!!!
I know I've mentioned this site before, but I just wanted to give it a special blurb because I really do love it and know you will, too. It's a great site for online classes and a great message board!! The ladies on the board all love scrapping and crafting and are all very sweet. There are weekly and monthly challenges, games, chatting and everything in between. (I actually won last month's monthly page layout challenge!!! Check out my page on the home page listed below!!)
I'm taking my first class there this month and I'm having a BLAST. It's a ribbon class. We've learned numerous new ways to use ribbon, have supported each other in challenges and in learning these techniques, we've chatted about all things ribbon and many of us have won some fabulous prizes already!! I've had a TON of ribbon sitting around for years but have never really known how to use it until now (other than just tying it around something!). And there's still more for us to learn this month. Jayne really created an awesome curriculum with this class.
Next month is a Holiday Hustle card class, then some other classes coming up include journaling and sketches. Go check out the site and the message board- I promise you won't be sorry!!!

Some layouts from last week
In case I haven't mentioned it, I have separate albums for Joshua and for myself. I try to individualize the journaling and pics as much as possible. The idea is that when he's grown, he can have his albums and I'll still have mine to look at and enjoy. I'll be making three of most things pretty soon!! I finished up scrapping my birthday for our albums. I'm still a couple of months behind so I need to get caught up SOON. Just thought I'd share these with you.

Calendar pages
Do you all add calendar pages to your scrapbooks? I love them! I keep one on the fridge all of the time to record the little things that happen in our daily lives. Teeth coming in, funny things Joshua says, things we do, places we go, friends we see, etc. Here's my latest one. I completed it for a challenge in the ribbon class I'm taking. That is such a FUN class. Not only do we learn new techniques, but we get all kinds of fun challenges to complete, games to play and prizes to win. I hope you will all have a chance to take a class through Feeling Scrappy. Next month is a great Christmas card class to get your cards done early. Check it out at feelingscrappy.com!!!

Another new page
Here's a new sketch for you...I have pages with lots of pics coming up so that's where my mind is right now! You could always use some of the boxes for journaling or accents if you don't have a lot of pictures. I have another sketch I'm working on for the Flower Power contest at feelingscrappy.com and I'll post it when I finish. :) Have a great scrappy day!!

Pink is so much fun!
I've been scrapping so much with blues over the past two years that it's a lot of fun to get to use some pinks now. I know this page is a little early (it can't even be finished for three more months!!) but I really wanted to use some of these yummy new papers I bought. I made a sketch from it, too, for those of you who like sketches as much as I do. :)
